I conducted interdisciplinary research, developed information technologies, and served as a scientific leader for many research and development projects that include: a system for monitoring the pollution of atmospheric air, surface waters by industrial emissions for the city of Moscow, a system for complex geophysical experiments on deep sounding of Earth based on MHD-generators for petroleum and natural gas exploration, and a system for real-time evaluation of atmospheric air pollution by emissions of industry, power engineering and transportation for the city of Moscow.

Most of my research is aimed to the design and development of effective computational methods for studies of objects and processes in real subject domains, as well as computer systems for their evaluation and management. For these purposes I developed:

Concepts and methodologies for information technologies

Some large concepts for the real projects are designed. Among them:

bullet

Concepts of development of the branch-wise integrated information and management system for "Gazprom". Contract of a consulting company.

bullet

Concepts of development of the specialized automated real-time complexes providing for creation of systems with rational architecture on the basis of simulation modeling methods (environmental and geophysical areas). Thesis for a scientific degree of doctor of in Systems Engineering.

bullet

Methodology of the formal description of natural objects (processes) and urban of the factors for finding by methods of a simulation modeling of rational balance between them. Grant of Russian Fund of Fundamental Researches.

bullet

Concepts of the research and development of automated systems in ecology for countries - members of The Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (COMECON). Comprehensive program of development of scientific and technical progress of countries - members of COMECON.

Implemented research and technical projects

Management and direct participation in design and development of more than ten large automated systems and information technologies created under orders of the Russian Government and State Department. Subject domains included: ecology, geophysical objects and processes, regional and territorial management, support of administrative decision making on environmental issues, transportation. These projects include:

bullet

Design and development of automated complex for real-time evaluation of atmospheric air pollution by emissions of industry, power engineering and transportation for the city of Moscow. In the framework of the Joint Program of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Government of Moscow "Science for Moscow" in 1992-1996.

bullet

Design and development of control system for complex geophysical experiments on deep sounding of the Earth based on MHD-generators for petroleum and natural gas exploration. Performed in the framework of the research activities of Academy of Sciences of the USSR and special resolutions of the Government of USSR in 1986-1990.

bullet

Design and development of an experimental range for the improvement of the automated monitoring system for the pollution of atmospheric air, surface waters and emissions from industrial enterprises of the Moscow region. In the framework of research activities of the State Committee on Hydro- and Meteorology of the USSR (Goskomgidromet) in 1981-1984.

bullet

Design and development of data bank on the environmental pollution of the Moscow region. In the framework of research activities of Goskomgidromet in 1978-1981.

bullet

Design and development of measurement and information system for collection, processing and presentation of the meteorological and ecological information from Ostankino TV tower of Moscow. In the framework of research activities of Goskomgidromet in 1976-1979.

bullet

Design and development of a measuring network and methods of processing of the meteorological and ecological information on high-altitude facilities in industrial regions of USSR. In the framework of research activities of Goskomgidromet in 1974-1978.
